SkillsUSA in a national nonprofit organization serving high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations. It is a partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives, working together to ensure America has a skilled work force.
Benson’s SkillsUSA chapter is no stranger to gold at both the state and national championship levels. This year was no different. Benson students took home gold at the state level in 5 different competitions (see below for full results). Now these 7 students are ready to travel to the national championships in late June, but they need to raise $9,000 to cover travel, food and lodging costs for a week.
