Sometimes the best stories come out of nowhere. It was the last day of PPS’ school year. Benson had just graduated its seniors a few days prior. We received an email from Vice Principal Carbone asking how the alumni association could assist with a great event she was putting together. She went on to detail the story of Mr. Herman Anderson, which is wonderfully recounted over at The Oregonian. We were happy to be a part of this ceremony by donating a Benson Letter with the word “Alum” embroidered into it.
Many thanks to VP Carbone for all her work on this, along with all of those involved at Marquis Piedmont who came up with the idea, reached out to Benson and made the event a reality.
