Sutherland graduated from Benson High School in Portland and spent 21 years in the U.S. Marines before retiring as a major. He is a graduate of the University of Utah.  After serving 6 years with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Kevin joined the Beaverton School District as its Public Safety Director.  You can read more about his role over at Oregonlive
