It was recently announced that Principal Carol Campbell had been transferred to Grant High School, leaving Benson without a principal at the time of this writing. On July 22, Portland Public Schools started the search for Benson’s next principal by holding a community meeting where over 40 parents, staff and alumni voiced their displeasure with the move and emphasized the qualities that the next principal will require.
